NeoPowdersFrequently asked questions9 questions

Frequently asked questions.

What people ask us most about our materials, the process and how to work with us. If your question isn't here, write to us.

ACompany and materials

What does NeoPowders do?

We develop and produce advanced metal powders for additive manufacturing and high-performance industrial applications, with an initial focus on high value-added steel powders.

Which materials do you offer?

Stainless steels, tool steels, maraging steels and iron-based alloys for additive manufacturing and coatings, plus differentiated materials such as cobalt-free maraging, manganese steels and metal-ceramic materials.

What does ‘In development’ mean?

These are lines we are researching, such as amorphous powders or electrical and magnetic materials. They are not a commercial offer; if they interest you, we can talk about joint development.

BProcess and quality

How do you produce the powder?

Metal is melted in an induction furnace and fed into a reservoir furnace. A gas stream breaks it into fine droplets that solidify as particles, which are then classified by size and prepared for supply.

Which processes are your powders for?

Metal additive manufacturing, binder jetting, metal injection moulding and coatings, among other advanced metallurgical processes. The suitability of each material is studied project by project.

How do you control quality?

We characterise each material and apply quality control during production. We also support each customer in validating and qualifying their application.

CWorking with us

Can you develop a custom alloy?

Yes. We work with engineering, materials and R&D teams to select or design the alloy, produce and characterise the powder, support validation and scale up production.

How do I request technical information?

Use the technical information form or write to contact@neopowders.tech. Our technical team will get back to you.

What do you need from us to get started?

Your sector, the application, the manufacturing process and the material of interest. If you're not sure yet, tell us about the problem and we'll define it together.

Technical information

Shall we talk about your application?

Tell us what you need: an existing material, a powder for a specific process or a new alloy.
